my question is: If I export the database from an opencart website to another, would that import theme too or just the products and categories?
No, it won't import the theme, because theme is mostly about files.

Re: Search only in the chosen store

Not sure which search do you use, but default one DOES search for products in current store only. So either your products are assigned to multiple stores or you're using a custom search.

Re: upgrade 2.0.0.0 to latest

Nope, not that easy. You need to do a bunch of manual work after upgrade.

Re: Quantity discounts in the table

You can achieve this with CSS, don't even need to change the code.

Re: Fatal Error crashing front end

Error says for itself: there's no such file and thus it can not be included. There's no google_marketing_tools in default OC package, so contact extension developer on the matter.

When you're all grown up and have your own website you can do whatever you want.
Nobody asked for another lousy comment from you.

Re: Open product in new tab

I would highly suggest to NOT do this. Forcing the new tab for every product is a VERY bad design in terms of UI.

Re: Why One Should Avoid Journal?

1- some reliable, well organized resources providing how to develop in Opencart default theme, 2- alternative cms' or extensions that can provide equivalent capacities as Journal provides. You're missing the main point. so once again: theme should ONLY be responsible for layout. Heck, it should eve...

Its a pity... I talked with them and they confirmed that the software for OC is outdated and they said they dont have plans to implement it for OC currently.. Means, its not on their agenda at the moment.. ((
You can always ask for commercial support from OC developers.

Re: Why One Should Avoid Journal?

Are you saying a well engineered, fully compliant template with all of the best end user features already exists but needs to be promoted? Exactly. There're hundreds of well engineered, fully compliant extensions with all the best end user features, but they have very low sales due to the lack of p...

Re: Why One Should Avoid Journal?

If Journal is so bad why doesn't someone just engineer a fully compliant template with all of the best end user features that Journal has? It seems like a great business opportunity given there appears to be no really good Open Cart templates available. It's not about ideas or implementation, it's ...

Re: Why One Should Avoid Journal?

Finally I have to admit that choosing Journal as a theme felt like the sole choice since I'm not sure, how can someone manage to create a well functioning, stylish store without spending 20-40$ to every detail for another extension. If you have an alternative theme, a complete extension pack, or a ...
