Re: Site Slow load time - any advice?

Thanks for replies. I'm with Hostgator, business, shared server. You're right to mention timings affecting site speed. Pingdom gives varying speeds sometimes fairly fast 2 seconds but sometimes a few minutes later up to 7 seconds. Page size is currently just 793 kb for the homepage which is good, I ...

Prevent keyword stuffing on category page

Hi OpenCarters, All of the products on www.vintageheirloom.com are as the site implies, vintage. For SEO purposes we add the prefix Vintage for all our products. However, when I look at our various category pages I see numerous instances of the word Vintage . This would look to Google like keyword s...

Adding Accordion for OC - v1.5.x

Hi OCers I'm looking to try to add a simple yet effective accordion to my FAQ section (http://www.vintageheirloom.com/faqs). As you can see this would tidy this section up. I've tried a few resources online, mostly javascript, and they either don't work or jump around so you sometimes can't see what...

Tcalp, sorry, please don't take that the wrong way... I put a cheeky wink at end of sentence, my misguided sense of humour ... I'm liking the look of your speed optimisation, great work... My Opencart configuration is pretty straight forward, running Shoppica Theme, few VQMODs and recently Magic Zoo...

SOLVED - SEO URLs return same page v1.5.3.1

Hi I was looking at my SEO friendly URLs (which are working fine) and think that I've been overdoing the keyword in my URLs, example: http://www.vintageheirloom.com/vintage-celine/ celine[/b]-bags I think the last celine is unnecessary. However when I amended with just bags the URL looks ok but goes...

Re: 1.5.3.1 PayPal Standard - Returns to site http not https

I think your right, I've been trying to apply https when it's not appropriate.

I've replaced with the standard http. I've only got access to my iPad (the pop up has never appeared on the iPad), at the moment back home to test on Wednesday.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated. :D

Re: 1.5.3.1 PayPal Standard - Returns to site http not https

Thanks for replying. I think this is mostly about confidence. Ive installed a ssl socket so when customers log into their account in opencart the http turns to https, in line with good security. After PayPal payment is taken if I was a customer I would be surprised / confused as to why I'd been retu...
