Re: how to lock country/region field

Hi IP_CAM, thanks for your reply. That's what I did but it still display as a dropdown menu and still clickable. I was hoping to get a static, not editable text.

how to lock country/region field

Hello, I was wondering how to lock the country/region field if I only have 1 country and 1 region available? For example if my store only deliver to California, US, there's no need to customer to select the country/region part. By default it's a dropdown menu, but I just wanted to display both as pl...

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

Thanks for the info! Forgive me if I repeat the question, but this is what opencart designed for users: 1. People understand using twig files to adjust the page layout, and these twig files are text files saved on the server like all other files (CSS, php, HTML, js,etc) 2. Some people saw the theme ...

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

Hi straightlight, can you elaborate about how to create new event files? I thought everything we talked about are just some .twig files on the server, but it seems there's a cache system that confused most people. And if I decided to stop using Theme Editor from now on, what I should do to make it w...

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

scenario A check the same file next day from theme editor and the file goes back to the older one before I changed anything Since the theme editor stores the source in the database. I would say that you or your host is restoring or losing database content at some interval. Scenario B to make this w...

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

I just change: 'auto_reload' => null, to 'auto_reload' => true, in system/library/template/twig/environment.php This doesn't work for me either. This twig cache issue is the biggest confusion for me so far, and here is what I'm experiencing: Scenario A: 1. use theme editor to change some twig files...

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

There are no observable performance reductions when using 'auto_reload'. In fact, it's finally added in the latest OpenCart master branch. Having said that, IMHO it was a bad idea to use Twig in the first place, PHP already is a template language anyway. Hi JNeuhoff, is this safe to use your codes ...

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

Another weird thing I also saw some other user mentioned is, even if I use theme editor to edit and save my twig file, sometimes the change isn't saved when I navigate somewhere else and come back to the same twig file. Any ideas why this thing happens?

A. Use any external editor to change the ". twig" files and upload to the site via FTP

B. Use theme editor from opencart admin panel to edit and save.
A. Refresh ocmod, Clear theme cache, SASS cache (or disable both)
B. Ignore

As I said, your solution doesn't work.

Re: Opencart 3.0.2.0 default theme doesn't show changes

Edit twig files using a FTP client https://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=206283 I'm a little confused about this even after reading several threads in this forum. To my understanding, There are 2 ways of editing twig files: A. Use any external editor to change the ". twig" files and ...

Re: Mobile-only theme ?

thanks for your suggestions. I was mainly thinking to get the "app" look from some mobile themes, which normally isn't provided by responsive themes.

Re: 2016 & Ongoing - Why are there so many Terrible themes?!

Both options are available for all of us and been used by OC shop owners and members here, for years.. Okay, then please - for the audience: post a few Skins and a few (good) Themes. And as you wrote: Skins only, not Themes or Templates. I was also very curious about this, for education purpose. As...

Re: 2016 & Ongoing - Why are there so many Terrible themes?!

Hello, I found this thread is very informational. I bought a theme that overwrite the core files and I need to rebuild the site again. I believe many users have the same question as me: where or how to find those "safe" themes that don't overwrite the core files? It seems no category for s...

Thanks. Maybe I wasn't clear about my question, this is more of a general question when I need to do this as well, like testing with a newer opencart version without mixing the two.

Re: install OpenCart in a subfolder and Data backup

Unfortunately, the theme couldn't be uninstalled. Probably I didn't buy the right theme, but the way the theme was installed (in their manual) is to uploading a few folders (admin, catalog, etc) to my root directory. I believe it has several extra files uploaded in a manual way rather than installed...

install OpenCart in a subfolder and Data backup

Hello, I'm still very new to OpenCart world so forgive me if this has been asked in this forum before. I installed opencart in my root directory (public_html) and it worked. I got some issues when I installed some extensions (theme specifically) and I may have to re-install OpenCart as a refresh sta...

how to debug/customize a certain theme
