Re: On upgrade, Fatal error: Call to a member function addExtension()

Also, don't use Journal3 which does indeed do crazy things like trying to modify the twig.php, go for a proper web theme!

Re: Theme Conversion

Your website currently shows nothing. Your best bet is to re-post it on the commercial support section of this forum, to find a professional developer to look into it. In general, it should be possible to convert a theme to an OpenCart resulting in a similar look&feel.

Re: Why does OpenCart exist?

While it is true that there should be a better quality control for 3rd party OpenCart extensions, especially for web themes, the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence, see e.g. https://wordpress.org/support/view/all-topics/

Re: On upgrade, Fatal error: Call to a member function addExtension()

As Add Creative said, one of your extensions appears to be causing this issue. You should try to identify this poorly written extension and then remove it, or replace it with another one from the marketplace, because there should be no need for any extension to modify the twig.php core file.

Re: Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

Product IDs are always required. Incremental Import only means that existing products are updated, not newly created, and that no products will be deleted before the Import. As regards categories: I don't know what your are on about, the Export/Import of categories works just fine, both for main and...

Re: How can I change the allowed spam score of Google Re-Captcha

You may also consider our SpamBot Buster tool as an alternative solution. It has a nearly 100% rate of rejecting spambots and doesn't need a captcha.

Re: Where to find this kind of option extension?

There are so-called 'dependent options' extensions on the OC marketplace for this, such as this one.

Re: Category query

The OpenCart categories are already all listed in the admin backend. Therefore, your question doesn't make sense. Or you are using an extension which does something different, in which case you have to contact the extension author.

Re: Remove NitroPack Footer

I use different approach to caching and don't use any extensions for caching content. It's not really effective and necessary, because you already have OC and browser caching plus a lot of themes also cache data. I agree. Using a slim streamlined theme, fewer unnecessary animations or slideshows (w...

Re: create Table of Contents

There is no 'table of contents' in a standard OpenCart. It looks like you are using an extension for this, in which case you should get in touch with extension author. Or you could 3rd party scripts such as: https://www.jqueryscript.net/menu/Sidebar-Table-Of-Contents-Generator-with-jQuery-and-Bootst...

Re: Only show filters on child category selection.

Hi, Version: 3.0.3.7 Theme: Journal I would like to have filters visible only when a child category has been selected on the left column on the category page. I've looked for an extension or piece of code, but can't find it. In my case, filters are added to products, not categories. All of this cou...

Re: Multilingual Export/Import for OpenCart 2.x / 3.x

Our Export/Import tool does not create categories on the fly. Categories have to be defined first, which can be done by our Export/Import tool, before importing the products.

What is this post really about?
It's about a notorious spammer. We asked the OpenCart team multiple times in the past to implement a proper anti-spambot tool and/or captcha.

Re: auto comments on extensions

It is the same known spammer who was a real plague earlier this year.
We have asked the Opencart team repeatedly to implement a proper anti-spambot tool. Merely blocking him via URL or IP-address isn't enough.

Re: Column Headers - Quick Checkout Page

You are using Journal's quick checkout feature which doesn't exist in the OpenCart framework. Besides, the Journal3 framework is different from the OpenCart, e.g. it uses its own layout system. Hence this is something for the Journal support to address. BTW.: If you merely want to change some langua...

Re: How can I create a hidden administrator?

There is no such concept as 'hidden administrator' (whatever that means) in OpenCart. An OpenCart administrator is always required to do a login first to the OpenCart backend before being able to do administrative tasks, or simply to view certain things in the backend, depending on the access/modify...
