Re: EU law - Delivery needs to be tax free if lighter than 10 kg

(Question 1) Have I miss understood this EU law? Yes - completely! Beside the fact that this directive is valid since 1998: Directive 97/67/EC has applied since 10 February 1998. It had to become law in EU countries by 14 February 1999. Amending Directive 2008/6/EC has applied since 27 February 200...

Re: PHP error 'undefined index' is filling error log

I have modified the file .. If I edit a product, the error log contains the following errors: PHP Notice: Undefined index: sku .. etc. .. As far as I know I need to adjust the code with "empty()", but I don't know how. If tried this: sku = empty('" . $this->db->escape($data['sku']) . "') and then I...

Re: vQmod 2.6.6 - OpenCart version fix for twig issues in OpenCart 3.0.3.5/3.0.3.6/3.0.3.7

Thx for catching that. Released one more update to that vqmod_opencart.xml file to fix compatibility with Journal theme that was broken with the fix I made the last time. Now it should work with Journal twig edits correctly. You shouldn't have to fix your VQmod just to cater for Journal3, rather, J...

Re: Hit a wall with 3.0.3.7 where to go next?

Hope I could help.
All Extensions from me are made because either I needed it for myself, or clients of us.
And because of that, all Extensions are maintained regularely - some for different versions (e.g. 2.x and 3.x branch and/or subversions).
If you need more, just contact me.

Regarding the advice to run your own mail server... .. and you don't have to learn to be a server administrator, so you can focus on running your business. True words! "Focus on Business"means also operating a "managed" server and not fiddeling around on CPanel with settings the account owner does ...

Re: A killer error! customers paying but the order not being saved! [HELP]

Use a proper email service, stay away from gmail or hotmail etc. If that is the problem then I definitely I'll use GoDaddy mail. Seems that your Business, your Webshop is not located in the EC (European Community) . Because if it would be, you should avoid to use any of those USA based services. Wh...

Re: A killer error! customers paying but the order not being saved! [HELP]

In General valid for all Webshops: one of the worst Ideas is to use a GMail-Address. Why? Well - for example, fakeshops using mostly email addresses from them. What does that mean to the customer? Image he is on the Website mysupadupastore.com Now he is receiving Emails from donaldduck [at] gmail.co...

We recently (March End) migrated from OC 1.5.4 to OC 3.0.3.3 because our PHP had migrated from 5.6 to 7.3.6
So not a new, fresh installation, it is a update?
Made manual or by the update script?

What I meant by changing settings in the admin area was changing some settings in the admin area in the admin login
And what settings do you have changed?
What OpenCart Version are you using?

Is it so hard to tell us the minimum?

Re: Hit a wall with 3.0.3.7 where to go next?

One of many reasons why we still use the 2.3.0.2 Version for new client installations. And to start and be able to run a Webshop, we have created a - based on the original files, but fixed - Installer for that version: https://osworx.net/Fehlerbehebung/OpenCart-2-3-0-2-Fixed-Installer-w-openSSL Ther...

Re: Is opencart free to use?

OpenCart itself in general is Free, can be used for Free and will be Free forever.
When it comes to Extensions, many are Free, some are not (you have to pay for them) - but all must be published under the same License as OpenCart.

Re: Checkout Options Are Disabled. Cannot Place Order.

Hi, Thank you for your time. OC version is 3.0.2.0. Theme is default. And a few posts later it seems that it is the Template - which is not the default one! Summary: a time waster until now. You are wasting only our time when you do not provide all required background infos - best would be the URL ...

In HTML the £ sign should be £
If the database collation is set correct, it can be £ or £ - does no matter, working with such since many years without any troubles.
And here the field is a simple text input field, no HTML.
