the orders, I am referring to, are in the opencart admin in the missing orders (with status cancelled), but in paypal I see them as pending. why?

opencart does not record the orders that are pending in paypal
I use PayPal Express Checkout module.
If order is pending in Paypal, then opencart does not record this order in my dashboard.
Any idea?
