Re: How to add code to top?

You'll have to edit:
template ... common/header.tpl

Code ... use a regular html link for your image. That is the easiest!

Re: Layout concept in OC 1.5.x

Looks like it's part of the column_left,right, etc code.

How to use:
Try playing with the extensions in the admin section and move them around a bit.

Re: Can't Log in to Admin - Mac

This is not a browser issue but more like the browser's cache or an install problem.

Re: [1.5]A recommended way to backup

why would you get viruses?

Make sure you are using a safe ftp program.
Also, use your cpanel or what ever your hosting service provides.

You will also need the SQL data!

Re: Sexy Lingerie Store

Actually, I like it because it doesn't come off as a cheap erotic shop.

Just wondering, where do you get your products from?
I've been thinking of doing something like that for Japan.

Re: Downgrade

Not sure how your server is setup or what your hosting does, but: 1.) asking your hosting company to downgrade it for you 2.) download the 1.4.9.x series, and upload to your server. The installation process is not difficult and the most trouble you'll have is inputting the correct information for yo...

Re: A recommended way to backup OC 1.5?

I tend to use phpmyadmin (or such) for the db dump and then just FTP (copy the directories) so yeah, that would seem like the way to go.

Re: Javascript errors :(

Strange ...

Try checking the encoding for the common.js file.
I had problems with window's line endings and set my editor to change all files to:
UTF-8, no-bom, unix(LF)

Re: OpenCart 1.5.0.3 Bug Thread

Yeah, that looks like the one.

IF you have an copy of XP laying around, you can also install virtualbox (free).
New icore7 macbook pros can't use 32byte xp in bootcamp but vmware handles the issue just fine.

Re: [Need Help]scripts to the bottom and make website faster

Like I said, you have to be careful of what order which script comes first.
This is especially the case for google maps ... google and jquery don't play nice togeher. Almost as bad as facebook vs google :o

I haven't done this yet for 1.5 but it was NOT a walk in the part like Q thinks it is. ;)

Re: Major mind feck with csv

OH ... OK ... MySQL is the database where all the information is stored. A DUMP is where you move the information from a database to a CSV or such file. You would use phpmyadmin or another software on your server to do this or from the a backup in opencart's admin area. How many products do you have...

However, there you still need to work out user logins.
But if you don't mind 2 logins, just install in the subdomain like the above suggestion.

Re: i want sale OpenCart

I'm gonna add a bit OSWorx's detailed information. opencart includes the license in a separate file so you should leave it in the directory of the customers site or give it to them. Opencart does not comment the gpl licensing in any of it's files. I do believe, I could be wrong!!! but if you do give...

Re: i want sale OpenCart

I'm not a lawyer but ... Basic GPL is that you "can't" sell the code. BUT you can sell "services" which use the code. So opencart = FREE You can charge all you want for any changes you do. However, being truthful to your client about the base code is a good idea. They'll trust a well known code base...
