Re: email form not send

So there could be many issues why this is happening; - have you enabled mail() or smtp and does your host allow sending emails from the server? - is the email in your spam folder? (common issue here) - a 3rd party module is affecting your contact page - incorrect settings (do you get emails when a u...

Re: 1.5.6.2 bug fix release

It would be worth updating the installer to check for mbstring and/or iconv. Yeah I agree - added on last commit: https://github.com/opencart/opencart/commit/8f4a58899e5ca0316b3e3be49a1171ccf3b0db26 since you can have mbstring or inconv for the utf8 helper really not sure which took precedent. From...

Re: I can't add product or image after upgrade to 1561

Not really, upgrading is pretty straight forward. The only thing you need to check for is the 3rd party modules / themes, anything related to the core code would have many users with the same issue. Have you tried installing any modules you have? Have you checked the vqmod logs? Have you checked the...

Re: I can't add product or image after upgrade to 1561

Ahh, ok. If you see a white screen you will probably have an error happening. In your store settings enable display errors and also log errors, then try again. You might get an error message on the screen. If so, paste here. If you still only see a white screen, contact your host to have them look a...

Re: I can't add product or image after upgrade to 1561

That sounds like you have run out of storage space with your hosting provider - if you upload via FTP and it fails then it is likely. If you check that first and it is ok, then check your error logs to look for an error. You may need to ask your host for the Apache error log too as that may show up ...

Re: Admi Log in issue after updating from 1.5.4.1 to 1.5.6.1

You should check your database table to see if the admin username is there. You can access the forgot password link on your site:

YOURSITE/admin/index.php?route=common/forgotten

Try the above but if you have more issues you will need to add some screenshots of your admin login page too.

Re: [1.5.6] Internal Server Error During Checkout When Logge

You need to ask your host to look at the servers Apache error log (if you are on cPanel as most hosts don't set up the logging correctly to log to the account error log file). If you are on Plesk your error logs will show you the info though, through your admin area. 500 server is a generic "there i...

Re: Add custom "hook" to order processing?

Sadly not. It has been suggested a few times and imo it would be a great addition to tempt more integrations. You will need to add it through vqmod for now, don't forget that you can also add an order through the admin area too so if your merchants are doing this then you need to also tap into the s...

Re: 1.5.6.2 bug fix release

Thanks selfman, this release is about bug fixes though. There isn't a bug with the code, its just not as you suggest very well optimised. Good suggestion for 2.0 though which I will check through in a bit.

1.5.6.2 bug fix release

Daniel updated the utf8 helpers on 1.5.6.1 which have been moved into a new branch now, 1.5.6.2. Taking the opportunity to patch a few bugs with the last release before making the download public. I have already added a few - https://github.com/opencart/opencart/commits/v1.5.6.2 If you know of any m...

Re: Weight Based Shipping not working OC 1.5.6 with PP Expre

Also, you need to disable "disable errors" - it should only be used on a development site. Its seen as best practice to hide errors because they disclose paths. Errors will still be logged though - and this will have the same effect as what your host did as the error isn't output to the screen. Hope...

Re: Weight Based Shipping not working OC 1.5.6 with PP Expre

I think I've narrowed down the issue. If you are logged in but still use the PayPal guest checkout it would throw the missing address ID notice (then cause the header issue too).

Try the attached file and let me know if it works ok for you. If so i'll add the fix into 1.5.6.2 release!

Re: Weight Based Shipping not working OC 1.5.6 with PP Expre

Not sure what would cause that, usually a header problem is when you try to redirect and the output has already been started. There is no output on expressReturn() but there is a redirect, do you have display errors = off in the admin? If not you need to if running a live site. If you can recreate t...

Re: Weight Based Shipping not working OC 1.5.6 with PP Expre

Actually just spotted another issue with the language string..it is missing the url link for the contact page.

$this->data['error_no_shipping'] = sprintf($this->language->get('error_no_shipping'), $this->url->link('information/contact'));

Update file attached.

Re: Weight Based Shipping not working OC 1.5.6 with PP Expre

The check if $quote_data is not empty is the best way to resolve. If no shipping quotes can be matched then it will display a message to the user. I have attached a patched 1.5.6.1 version of the catalog/controller/payment/pp_express.php file. I have also patched this on the 2.0 release. https://git...

Re: PP Express Writing Error Log " Transaction exists"

This is not an error, it is debug information. You can safely comment this out in the code so it doesn't show in your log. Change any line (which writes to the log) to have 2 slashes at the start: $this->log->write(...... becomes: //$this->log->write(...... I would advise not to remove the lines of ...

Re: Payment gateways - Stripe and Realex...

Hi Andy, That's correct. If you process the cards on your website though, you need a higher (and more costly) level of PCI compliance because you need ASV scanning, your own resources and the questionnaire (SAQ document) is MUCH longer. You can get a more processional feel processing the cards on yo...

Re: Payment gateways - Stripe and Realex...

Both are great - typically they are just another gateway option. Realex will be included as standard in 2.0 but there is plenty of modules for existing installs for both gateways. It really comes down to price, supported cards, is 3d secure offered and if they have a 24 hour support desk. Realex als...
