Re: USPS Shipping wrong charges.

Are you accounting for the weight of the box and packaging when inputting the weight for the product? $10 seems like a lot for just that, but it's the only thing I could think of.

Re: Products, Quantities, and Options...

freebase, just a question: why aren't you using the Product Stock as a total stock level and the options as individual stock levels? So for example, instead of T-shirt (9999), you'd have: T-shirt (15) Large (10) Medium (3) Small (2) You're right in that it should pull the total dynamically, but you ...

Re: New "Blocks" type of extension?

The exact same code, duplicated 50 times. Yeah, that doesn't seem like a good idea. I noticed that in some of the language files, too. I think reusing the same code as much as you can is always a good idea. If Daniel does decide to reintroduce the layout.tpl file, maybe you could put it outside wit...

Re: CKEditor is 33% of OpenCart filesize

It might lose certain tags when you switch from source/html to wysiwyg viewing. If you really need to, you could even go as far as editing the html source code directly on the database (using phpmyadmin or something like that). Most product descriptions will probably be rather simple html, perhaps ...

Re: Announcements

I second (or third?) the idea of a mailing list. It's essential for people who don't check the forums regularly when announcing new security/important fixes.

Re: CKEditor is 33% of OpenCart filesize

Sure, its a bit of a resource hog, but it does what it's supposed to do reasonably well in most cases. And if it doesnt, you can always modify the html source manually. I do agree with that, except that when I tried to add -moz-box-shadow and -webkit-box-shadow styles in the source, it erased them ...

Re: FIX the Forum Search

Yeah, I agree -- I was just about to suggest using Google instead of the forum search function. That's what I use, and it works much better. If you don't want to use i2Paq's link (which would be quite useful as a bookmark), just add "site:opencart.com" to your search in Google.

Re: OpenCart v1.4.7

It hasn't been changed since the last version. I will revamp the itemized code and get that as an option in the core. Great! I was just about to post that as a suggestion and you had already replied. :) I haven't looked at your latest Itemized patch version, but one thing I added to mine was pre-fi...

Re: [MOD] - Remove All Demo Data

Thanks, this will save time on future installations. One question: could you do this through using the "Restore" function with a file that has those queries?

I agree that you should add an address, but I like the overall design and the clean look. Nice work.

Re: CKEditor is 33% of OpenCart filesize

I'm for changing to another editor. As PeteVA said, CKEditor adds a bunch of unnecessary tags when you add and delete things (maybe all editors do that, but it's annoying). It also screws up the font when I paste things into it, so I have to edit the source anyway. Of the ones mentioned in this thre...

Re: Post any OpenCart 1.4.6 Bugs here!

Could you just set the default "Product Available" field to blank, and have products with a blank field always available? That seems like the easiest option, since it would seem most people would want their products available immediately, or they could enter a future date (which they already have to...

Re: OpenCart 1.4.6 Update

I know where you are coming from for this. I used to use my own script that would send to usps by just copying the whole address. You should still be able to copy/paste the old way if you click the "Invoice" button at the top of the order page. Have you tried that? Ah, good idea. I've tested it, th...

Re: OpenCart 1.4.6 Update

12oclocker was talking about the way addresses are displayed in Orders. In 1.4.6 they are separated by lines (i.e. in different <td> tags) instead of all together like in 1.4.0 (i.e. in one <td> tag). Since they're in different <td> tags, you can't copy and paste the whole address at once. It all bo...

Re: Please Check it out !!

i have removed footlinks and all so that my client shouldnt know m using a opensource script. Doesn't that seem a little...unethical to you? If your client finds out that you charged him for a cart and it's actually opensource, I doubt he would have anything positive to say about you to others, let...

Re: OpenCart v1.4.5

Thanks for the great work, Daniel, it looks like there's been lots of fixes and improvements in this version. I think the change to the options works fine, although it's not quite as visually appealing. I'm not such a big fan of separating the order information into sidetabs. I liked the suggestion ...

Re: Should I do this with the Orders

I also vote for all the info on one page. I think the way you have it divided now is pretty good, actually.

And I like the vertical product options, as well.
