Re: Sub-Category Listing: Near completion

Is that using the categories extension? or a new one for a top menu? No, although it could support it, too. I just changed some templates for the header in the files: /catalog/template//module/header.tpl and /catalog/template//layout.tpl and of course the /catalog/template//css/default.css The head...

Re: Delete shipping option altogether...

Open http://yourwebsite/admin/index.php?controller=extension&type=shipping in your web browser. This will show you a listing of all shipping modules. Each entry can be un-installed by clicking on the Uninstall-icon (a small green box) on the right side.

Re: Sub-Category Listing: Near completion

As regards sub-categories: We are using a purely CSS-based solution from ADX Menu, see for for example http://www.vcscleaningsupplies.com.au/ , works great with OpenCart or any other CMS.

Re: item title not showing in paypal

I actually installed the plugin that he discussed above. Works perfectly and customizes paypal to integrate more with the site. The users get to review what they are paying for in a shopping cart style look. Each product is shown and not just a lump sum. Curious: If the user can review individual p...

Re: Easy way to edit product options in database or table?

The menu system needs some sort of extensible way of adding menus to the existing menu without replacing the menu file each time. I agree, the menu.* files are to be overwritten at the moment when installing the Export/Import module, which is not elegant. Excellent job JNeuhoff on this contrib Than...

Re: Weight declaration in Cart

Assuming you are using OpenCart 0.7.8: Change your /catalog/extension/shipping/zone.php as follows: <?php class ShippingZone extends Shipping {    function __construct(&$locator) { $this->address  =& $locator->get('address'); $this->cart     =& $locator->get('cart'); $this->config   =& $locator->get...

Re: Easy way to edit product options in database or table?

Best to do a complete re-install of OpenCart. Then, if you install an extension such as the Export/Import module, you just add the additional files to your target installation directory structure. The Export/Import module is all documented in a PDF file which you can get from here: http://www.mhccor...

Re: paypal question

Also, be aware that a normal PayPal business account, unlike PayPal Premier, also requires a user to sign up with PayPal before being able to process the credit or debit card payment. PayPal is mostly of a viral nature in that sense, unlike other regular payment gateways with merchant bank accounts.

Re: Install: Session.auto_start problem

This error message comes from the /install/index.php (line 29) because the call to the standard PHP function ini_get('session.auto_start') returns FALSE.

Are you sure your PHP is correctly set up? What does a phpinfo() call display?

Re: Tax Rate Problem!!! Need Help

Bruce,

Your solution assumes that the prices for the products are displayed without the sales tax, doesn't it?

That is

Admin > Configuration > Setting > Local > Tax : No

Re: questions - changes from 0.7.8 to 1.0 (or 0.8)

There should be little or no manual code modifications needed by the end user, and contribs should never change the core files. To a degree this is already possible with OpenCart 0.7.8. When I wrote an Australia Post shipping module I didn't have to change any core file at all, it was just a matter...

Re: Weight zones? between 1 and 10kg shipping ??

Most of what you require is available in the Zone shipping module. However, in order to have it available 3 times for Standard Express Registered Insured you'd have to replicate the shipping the zone shipping module twice (we are talking about 5 files each time) and then do some programming replacin...

Re: Using my web pages with the back of house part of the software

Copy and rename the whole /catalog/template/default directory to a new one of your own choice and then edit the templates so as to achieve a better integration with your existing website. A good starting point is the file located at /catalog/template//layout.tpl , along with the file located at /cat...

there is a Zone tab

but i want paypal

how can i do that ??
Once you have done the fix the url.php, you should see the PayPal payment module listed in the
Extensions > Payment menu. Click on the configure icon on the very right, and configure it as needed.

Re: Migration to new server problem

Looks like your Apache server is not correctly configured, because it doesn't handle the PHP extension. Are you sure you have PHP correctly installed? Make sure you have a 'AddType text/html .php' in your 'httpd.conf' file. If you use shared webhosting ask your web hosting support to fix the PHP con...

Re: bulk image upload?

We use the Export/Import extension for OpenCart, and we then do the following steps: 1) Export all your products and/or categories to a spreadsheet 2) Edit the worksheets to insert the names of the images and/or additonal images 3) Import the updated spreadsheet back to the OpenCart database 4) Then...

Re: Export/Import Mod Error 1054

Also, please make sure that your products always belong to at least one category, which is not the case with OpenCart's default database. I may apply a fix to the Export/Import module to make sure the module will also work when a product doesn't belong to any category.
