Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

@atnaples: The bug was fixed in the tracker. Almost the same as i did locally, just catch all input from a form with a given name (or in the changed file, an id) and send all fields from e.g. $('#form-view') serilized through ajax. Unserialize at the other end and all inputs are available, no matter...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

A serious note: Version 2.0.2.0, using the reCaptcha from google is throwing an error: Undefined index: g-recaptcha-response... Been looking into the error for an hour now and found the problem. The form in (for example) catalog/view/theme/default/template/product/product.tpl isn't submitted (hence ...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

Having here all 2.x versions, in 2.0.0.0 it is $this->config->get('config_limit_admin') and that version was published last year October. Also 2.0.0._rc from Mai 2014 I had no 2.0.0._rc, i think it was a downloaded 2.0.0.0 but nonetheless, it is important to mention that config names can change wit...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

On topic then: as of version 2.0.2.0 some of the important config names have been changed (e.g. : config_admin_limit -> config_limit_admin) which is quite annoying Not 2.0.2.0 .. changed generally with 2.x (6 months ago). Ah, thnx, well, checked, it wasn't changed in 2.0.0.0 so somewhere in between...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

Thank you for this explanation and it makes my decision a lot easier: i will continue to work for this 1 client with OC but without all the hassle of contributing to the project. As said, after days of debugging and reviewing 90% of the code i have a working 2.0.2.0 and i leave it to that. All plugi...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

@JAY6390: The escape thingie only applies with single quotes used within the string... and the way the queries are built... wouldnt be an issue. That said, apparently it is known that the current usage could be better... so why isnt it done?

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

I understand... but the example was just to point out jow much work would be needed just to make the current code up to standards. Next i think some big choices would have to be made.... and that wpuld all be allright if there was some constructive discussion possible with the original author but as...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

I wouldn't know where to start. Take the most simple example of the use of single and double quotes. Double quoted strings are parsed, single quoted strings aren't. If you, by OC standards keep the variables in,lets say, a query outside of the string then why the hell do you use double quotes so tha...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

I would fork it, but not alone. Forking for the sole purpose of creating another opencart is... well... Maybe we should create an entirely new e-commerce cart system build from the ground up.... And as for Magento: i agree, it is large and heavy and doesn't even run on wampserver without hacking ap...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

Well, as a developer i wouldn't mind updating my own stores and write the learning curve down in a script. That way, everyone benefits, that is the basic thought of an open source community. And lets be honest, there is nothing wrong with someone earning good money from good work, is it in writing c...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

OpenCart is an opensource community based project, but the dev team doesn't seem to be listening to what the community is saying and has been saying for months (if not years!). Very sad. Not to pile on the hate train, but a major problem is that we aren't a community in the open source sense. We es...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

The problem arises when people are starting to use .... the (again, kudos) script from peku, all from different versions, all from different starting positions. Sorry, what is the problem? :) Sure, if this script to use the wrong (against the instruction) may be a small problem. 8) In the past, pro...

Re: OpenCart 2.0.2.0 Available Now

Sorry, you are mistaken. I was comparing the install/opencart.sql files from 2.0.1.1 and 2.0.2.0, and there was no changes in the DB structure. The only difference were 2 values in the oc_setting values: config_file_ext_allowed and config_file_mime_allowed, but no structural changes whatsoever! Ow,...
