Re: Dirty Spammer/Hacker on OC

Let's all calm down here please. JuJue reported a software thief/spammer here, so let's stick to this subject here. In defense of OpenCart, over the past couple of weeks they kept manually deleting the spammer's posts every day. And it appears they have now implemented a software preventing this spa...

Re: [SOLVED] Warning: opencart.com compromised!

It looks like OpenCart has finally resolved the issue with this spammer, so I mark it this forum thread title as RESOLVED.

Re: Thinking about invoicing

I think OSWorx over at the German forum section will have more details about an extension pack which adjusts OpenCart to the legal EU requirements.

As regards payment methods: You may also want to consider the 'Bank Transfer' as a temporary solution, too, in addition to PayPal.

Re: Mobile sliding cart does not show products

The Journal3 software is 3 to 4 times bigger than the whole of OpenCart together. And it modifies the OpenCart core. Hence, it can be regarded as a different framework and should be supported by Journal, not OpenCart. See this forum thread for more details.

Re: Blank page on edit of a copied product

Check your servers error.log, ask your webhost for the entries for the exact the time blank page error occurred. It's most likely an Internal Server 500, hence the error.log should have more details.

Re: Symlinks in Config Paths?

I just run a little PHP script one time from the admin folder to create a symbolic link:

Code: Select all

<?php
$target = '/home/xxxxx/public_html/image';
$shortcut = 'image';
symlink($target, $shortcut);
?>
Works with most webhosts.

Re: wishlist & cart went empty after visiting second store (multistore setup)

Journal3 is more than 3 times bigger than the whole of OpenCart together. It is a different commercial framework which isn't compliant with the OpenCart core because of all its modifications done to it. Therefore its users need to get in touch with the Journal support. You can't expect OpenCart user...

Re: Symlinks in Config Paths?

We often use an 'image' link defined in the admin folder which points to the 'image' folder. This makes it easier with the admin backend's summernote editor to show the images.

Re: wishlist & cart went empty after visiting second store (multistore setup)

He obviously uses Journal3 which is a different framework and not standard-compliant with OpenCart. Journal3 support needs to be contacted for this. The error cannot be replicated with a standard OpenCart.

Re: Maintenance Mode Can't Access Website as Admin

Nobody else can reproduce your problem, so it's not an OpenCart. You are using the non-standard Journal3 framework hence you may have to get in touch with the Journal3 support on this.

Re: link in forgotten password email won't work!

In your account/forgotten.twig you should use something like this for your button: <input type="submit" value="{{ button_continue }}" class="btn btn-primary" /> instead of your current <a href="https://sport3nter.com/index.php?route=account/login" class="btn btn-default">بازگشت</a> You can ask the a...

Re: Reasons behind using PHP engines like TWIG and TPL

Using Twig as a template engine certainly was a poor choice. The Symfony implementation of Twig is of poor quality, it does not directly translate from Twig into the final HTML. It's language syntax is bad, no proper LALR(1) grammar is defined here. Some of its operators use strange notations, such ...
