Limit certain products to a given location

I can ship worldwide but I have a few products that can only be shipped within the UK.

I don't see any setting for this or an extension. Should I create a store for UK only? Is that the best thing to do? Any simpler solution?

Restrict Shipping Methods should work for you. It lets you limit when shipping methods appear based on product, so you can enable/disable whatever methods you want when certain products are in the cart.
