OpenCart for my E-commerce solution

Hi, I have a small business of product selling on my WordPress websites, and wanted to add the opencart on WordPress websites to launch my online store. But I am also little bit confuse as I don't know much about the Opencart. I also don't know my websites are ready for it are not. You can see one example here to get some idea. Can you help me know about OpenCart. Let me know how I can get benefits of OpenCart using it with my websites.
