PayPal orders not showing on dashboard - v1.5.1

Hi, I'm using "OpenCart 1.5.1" with "PayPal standard" payment module - in sandbox mode.

Have followed instructions at http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... 8_32_35_60

Transactions appear in my paypal sandbox 'buyer account' and 'seller account' after I make a transaction.

But the order does not appear in my opencart dashboard.

Please advise what the problem might be? Is there anything else I should check?

Thanks
Matt

make sure you have the correct order statuses set-up in the paypal module.

your orders will be there, but probably listed under Missing Orders if you filter the orders list.

Hi Simon, thanks for your help :)

You're right - all paypal orders display when I filter by "Status: abandoned orders".

So, I guess there are two issues here:

----------------------------------------------
(1) Why are all paypal transactions logged in opencart as "abandoned orders"?

I have set order statuses to "Completed status: complete, Pending status: pending, Processed status: processed, etc...". I have even tried setting all paypal order statuses to "pending," but they still come up as "abandoned orders".

Orders via other payment methods (COD & Westpac Payway) appear on my order list as "pending" but not for paypal transactions.
----------------------------------------------
(2) On my orders page (Sales > Orders) the status field is blank by default, and I can only see 3 "pending" orders which I created via "COD" and "Westpac Payway" methods. Shouldn't it display ALL orders (including "abandoned orders")?
----------------------------------------------

Thanks
Matt

A couple of extra things I should mention...

PayPal (sandbox) 'seller account' shows transactions as "Payment status: Under Review".

PayPal (sandbox) 'buyer account' shows transactions as "Payment status: Completed".

Thanks
Matt

1. The IPN is not coming back to the site.
Do you have your site in maintenance mode ?

2. I think it was done like this on purpose. You dont really want to trawl through abandoned orders where people have simply opted to not go through with the order. There's probably another reason why it was done this way too.

Hi Simon,

No, I have maintenance mode turned off.

Additional info:
* IPN notification URL is in the format http://www.mysite.com.au/mystore
* IPN history page shows status "failed" for all transactions, except for the last 3 which are "retrying"
* Email address for sandbox 'seller' is in the format username_9999999999_biz@gmail.com . I have entered this for "Email" in opencart/paypal settings.
* Email address for sandbox 'buyer' is in the format username_9999999999_per@gmail.com . I have entered this for "Email" in the paypal checkout.

Is there anything else I should try?

Thanks
Matt

Has anyone figured out what is causing this? I have a client that we just switched over to OC and all the paypal orders are coming in under "Missing Orders". What is causing this? I have "Order Status Completed -> Processing", "Order Status Pending -> Pending", "Order Status Denied->Denied", "Order Status Failed -> Failed", "Order Status Refunded -> Refunded", "Order Status Canceled Reversal -> Canceled Reversal", "Order Status Reversed -> Reversed", and "Order Status Unspecified Error -> Failed" set in my admin panel for the paypal integration. What do I need to do to stop the orders from having a status of "Missing Orders"?

This was happening to me, but it was because I had a .htaccess password set to keep the site hidden while I was developing it. Could your problem be related to something blocking access to the site?

Hi,

I encountered the same issue. I read through some of the postings and it showed there / was a problem with previous versions because users buying your product were adding more items to the shopping cart and not keeping the same order number.

There were some references to other posts to fix this issue - by changing the code in order.php under the checkout module. Looking at this fix however, there was no fix for 1.5 version, only 1.3x and 1.4x. The sample code given doesn't take into account the newer version.

Any suggestions how to get past this would be nice - kind of frustrating not seeing orders only by searching Abandon orders.

Same thing: 1.5.1.3 and it's happening. Also, users are not receiving user confirmation emails, and my items are staying in the cart after the checkout has been completed. Upgraded Aceshop, and it's still happening.

Same problem... 1.5.4.1

IPN related most likely. I am not receiving a callback from Paypal after the transaction goes through successfully.
Make sure you have set up 'Instant Payment Notifications' in 'Profile' (click directly on Profile, not hover list) of your Paypal Account for starters. If you haven't done this it will be a simple fix... Not for me though... Some other ideas which have not worked for me, but have supposedly worked for others are to upgrade to the most recent encyption.php file & check that port 80 is open (mine is) on your server.
