Paypal Pro vs Paypal pro uk

Hi there,

I'm in the UK and the Paypal pro UK didn't work with my settings, so I configured the normal Paypal Pro settings using the API's from Payflow Pro within Paypal.

It worked fine, so I'm curious why the UK has a separate module?

I also had this problem. I was using Paypal Pro UK and couldnt get it to work, so changed to Paypal Pro and all worked fine. Is there any reason for Paypal Pro UK?

What are the actual differences between PayPal Website Payment Pro, PayPal Website Payment Pro (UK) and Paypal Pro Hosted Solution Integration and why does the UK need to be different?

This must be really confusing for non programmers, I dont do a lot of paypal api coding but I am confused a bit myself and I am looking for the actual differences to be described in detail if possible.

ok understand hosted more and cant quite see the point of it, as if i were paying from pro I would rather process the transaction on my site rather than paypals, just seems like paypal standard to me.

Still not sure about the UK vs the rest of the world versions??
