index.php problem

Merhaba arkadaşlar,

web sitemde ilginç bir problem yaşıyorum.
index.php?route= kısayolunu kaldırmak için htaccess dosyası ile uğraştım biraz. fakat şu an sıkıntı şu şekilde: site ürünlere index.php ekliyor ve ürünleri göstermiyor. index.php silip yüklediğimde ise 404 hatası veriyor. Yani

sitem.com/index.php/urunum . yapınca ana sayfada kalıyor.
index.php silince 404 hatası veriyor.

SEO url ayarını değiştirince problem yaşamıyorum.

Ne yapabilirim?
