I am running Opencart V3.0.3.3 on windows server at IONOS.
I have been following the "Basic Security Practices" document but have come stuck on .htaccess and .htpassword. I have renamed .htaccess as recommended, but from what I can see none of the commands are being followed. Is this a Windows issue?

Why on earth would you want to run OpenCart on a Windows IIS server? You should ask your webhost to switch over to a Linux server, see e.g. https://www.ionos.co.uk/hosting/linux-hosting

@Straitlight: all what you (and OpenCart) is doing, point to those few line about // Windows IIS Compatibility
Nothing about web.config, rewriterules, etc.
