Hello,

Does Google index other languages of the site? Store has two languages, one of them is default and one you have to get by clicking the language button dropdown. Does Google bot understand to get the other language somehow?

Thanks.

Check your sitemap and verify that both languages are available. If so, Google should index it.

Opencart language feature is based on "language" cookie which is problematic for Google. Google says "Don’t use cookies to show translated versions of the page". Google seems to want different language content in whole different URLs. Opencart dev team should maybe take this account for next versions? :-\

Any quick suggestions for this operation or any plugins for fixing this issue?

Looks promising solutions, thanks!

I'm using 2.3.0.2 version and it would be interesting to upgrade it to the newest (3.0.2.0) version where the SEO multi-language is as a default feature apparently. I keep in mind the plugin solution but how easy it would be to upgrade to the newest version? Any good instructions/tutorials for it?

Personally, I would hold off for a time and let version 3.x cook a bit more. Also, many extensions have not been upgraded yet to work with the newest version.
