Yes, I used the search feature http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... rt#p627162this one looks simular, and I think as I currently have opencart in a sub folder this could be the issue. I guess I could take opencart out of the sub folder and take the 'live' website away to test?
Or should I add a new store and make that the default? to get rid of the bit of url I do not need (they have added the host name first)

Here's what I mean by this:
Both of your config files may have http://domain.com in the HTTP and HTTPS sections but you're loading http://www.domain.com or the other way around.
The best way to fix this is to add a 301 redirect rule in your .htaccess file to force www or non www and then make sure the URL matches the 301 redirect rule in both of your config files.
If you add a redirect to force www, make sure www is included in the HTTP and HTTPS sections for both config files or the other way around. As long as they both match.

Basically my url should be www.mydomainname.co.uk/ and for some reason when 123Reg helped me set up the store they have added the host name into the store default url so it reads cluster server infomation/mydomainname does that make sense or can I post the exact urls on here for you to see.
Remember that emptying your db will result in loosing all you products etc.

thank you, that looks very helpful I'll give it a go.cyclops12 wrote:This may help you with the .htaccess file redirect
actually I'm not sure the www. is the problem as I have tried it with and without and neither of them work. I get the error message on both. ?
I'm really not sure what is going on without seeing anything. There shouldn't be a need to delete any files.RachSobie wrote:if I delete the default store on opencart and add a new one to remove the cluster host in the url name will that help?

You can post exact URLs here. Just don't post any passwords or other sensitive information!

my domain is http://www.thatlldonicely.co.uk/OpenCart
BUT the default on the admin screen says http://cluster3.website-staging.uk/that ... /OpenCart/
cluster3 being the server.
I've made a mistake using the captials in the sub folder too, but that will be deleted and I will move opencart to the index file once i've got a bit finished.
but if you use the cluster3 link it goes to 404 when you click on pages.
I am seriously thinking of getting rid of the old site, it won't matter, I'm using this site to 'learn' before setting up my main business site.
For starters, it looks like your nameservers are setup incorrectly:
ns.123-reg.co.uk
ns2.123-reg.co.uk
I believe the first 1 should be ns1.123-reg-co.uk
Are they your hosting provider as well or only your domain registrar? If you wanted to send FTP information and a login for Opencart, I can take a better look for you.

With that being the case, I think you need to correct your first nameserver from ns to ns1. Beyond that, it's really hard to say without seeing the actual code in your config and .htacess files.RachSobie wrote:thank you, thats very kind. Yes 123 are hosting too.EvolveWebHosting wrote:Hi,
