change date format confirmation email

Hello,

I have this changed everywhere in OC (using 2.3.0.2) and the only place where it isn't displaying how I would like is in the confirmation emails. The format in those is still:

Day/Month/Year

I would like it to read: Month/Day/Year

I have search for this answer all over and the only post I can find is from 2015 which points to code that must be from an older version as I do not find that particular code

Hi,
Is easy, jut edit the en-gb.php
is on -> catalog/en-gb.php
and change :
$_['date_format_short'] = 'd/m/Y';
to
$_['date_format_short'] ='m/d/Y';
