Hello, my hosting send a warning that i'm reaching the max numbers of files for my hosting (inodes), and I saw that i have around 240,000 files and most of them are images from.

The store has around 4000 products with few images, i don't get why the cached files are so many.
Most of the files are in image/cache/cache and the othes are
image/cache/1-1000 - 3058 files
image/cache/1001-2000 - 3479 files
image/cache/2001-3000 - 5280 files
image/cache/3001-4000 - 4792 files
image/cache/4001-5000 - 1273 files
image/cache/cache - 135354 files
image/cache/catalogue - 66863 files

I've read that if i change the cache to Redis or Memcached this problem can go away, but after i activated and used Memcached the files keep growing.
Do you have any ideas or solutions how to make the cached files smaller amount and what is causing this? I'm using a lot of filters for every category and a lot of products are in parent with multiple children categories, these are the only things that i can think of that are stranger than other opencart shops i've done.

I'm using OpenCart 2.3.0.2

Thank you for the time to read this and help. Best regards

Well, the most easy way would be, to simply clear out your cached images sections
weekly, then, you won't have that problem anymore. :D
You probably played around with many different thumb sizes, and they all still reside
now in your Image Cache Sections.

Thank you for your answer IP_CAM. So do i delete the whole folders image/cache/cache image/cache/catalogue and then create them again and add index.html? This is safe?

You don't have to delete the Folders, just their Content, and nothing will happen,
except your Shop will perform a little better. And also do this with your cached OC
Modification and VqCache Content regularely, to avoid good-for-nothing surplus
Content.

With the above, if you don't know what you're doing I suggest you get a developer to add a cron job to the server using something like "tmpwatch" which is designed for this purpose.
