I am brand new to Opencart. I've managed to figure out most of the functions I need from my website. I come from using PayPal buttons on my old sitebuilder program and I could set two shipping prices; one flat rate for within the United States and one flat rate for ANYWHERE else outside the US. I'd like to be able to do that through Opencart but I cannot figure out how to set that up.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated!
Specifically to the point, here is what I want:
$5 US shipping
$14 INTL shipping
No other options

You can clone the Flat Rate shipping method and set different geo zones with different rates. Or use extension like All-in-One Shipping and create a custom shipping methods with different options, including geo zones.

The X-Shipping extension should also be able to handle that: ... _license=0

You can do this using the built-in Weight Based Shipping. Just create your two geo zones, then set up flat rates for those two zones in Weight Based Shipping. For example, for the U.S.:
