I have installed the Norify When Available ext. on my OC 3.02 install and could not get the option to display on my out of stock items.
I decided to check the Layout option and noticed that the module was not added to the layout.
I tried adding the module but I keep getting an error that I don’t have permission and to contact the system administrator. Problem is that I’m logged in as the admin.
I’m also getting a Cron error required by this module which gives me a permission denied error also even after I changed the notifywhenready folder to be 777.
Any one able to help me?

Have you gone into Admin > System > User > User Groups and selected the new module?

Each permissions must be verified each times an extension installation is involved.

I’ve always used this account when working on the site. What needs to be done, create an admin group ?

Go into the default administrator group (edit) and make sure all checkboxes are selected in both access and modify permissions.

I just checked and I’m in the Administrator group and it has all options checked. The only other group that’s there is the Demonstration group and it doesn’t have any checked.

Although the issue of not seeing the button is fixed I can now select and out of stock item and put my info in to get an email sent to an address that I don't setup anywhere in the system.
The error I get in the email is:

Set-Cookie: OCSESSID=0e1b147b61b3b2fd88f76e01b3; path=/
Set-Cookie: OCSESSID=22c1fe507399a153e2fac0540a; path=/
Set-Cookie: language=en-gb; expires=Wed, 17-Oct-2018 18:00:02 GMT; Max-Age=2592000; path=/
Set-Cookie: currency=CAD; expires=Wed, 17-Oct-2018 18:00:02 GMT; Max-Age=2592000; path=/
Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

I also tried to move the button to a different location using the layout option and still get a "permission denied" error and to contact the administrator when I try to edit the module I'm trying to re-locate.
I verified again that all the checkmarks are there by selecting "Select All" in both sections.
