New installation, epic fail.

This is my second attempt to install. Both times I get OC installed, configured, and I can get to the admin page. I then try to automatically move the storage folder, and this is where everything fails. After I attempt to move the storage dir, the Admin page no longer works. I have manually moved the storage folder and appended the config.php & .htaccess files. I have also set the recursive permissions on the storage folder in the new location. I have check for preceding and proceeding spaces on the php files. I am not sure what to do at this point.
