Are aou really trying to UPGRADE a Version 1.5.x to OC-3, by use of the regular
Install/Upgrade Routine ?
Who the Hell told you such ? There is nothing to upgrade, except for
the Database itself, everything else is no longer of any use. But such has to
be done by use of other Tools. ;)

I've posted on this before. It's not as straightforward as it sounds. The path I use is:

1.5.x to to to to to the latest 3.

Yest I know there are probably too many steps but it works so I stick with it. For to I use Qphoria's excellent replacement upgrade script.

As always I would recommend cloning any live site and testing the upgrade process on that. Don't risk ruining a live site and cutting off any income stream.
