help with updating from 1.5.4 :(

Hi, Please can you help, I believe the website that I've inherited is a very old version of Opencart, so I need to know how to upgrade from my existing version (1.5.4 ) to the latest version of Opencart? in really simple terms to if possible because this kind of stuff goes way over my head:) thanks

Well, you better forget it, you won't be able to.

Sorry for the harsch words, but 3.x.x.x has -codewise- absolutely
nothing in common with the Version you use. The only option you
have is, to get your existing Database-Content 'transferred' correctly,
to match the new OC Version you decide on, to then be 'imported into
the new empty Database on the Server.
Then, the New Software needs to be installed, the regular way, and that's it.

You'll find some Dev's here, able to do this for you.

I would suggest creating a post in the commercial section of this forum to have an experienced developer help you with this task. It is possible to upgrade. It's not as simple as clicking an upgrade button though.
