Hello,
i am using OpenCart 3.0.3.2
I am moving my website to a new domain.
When you move an Opencart store to a new domain do you have to take any additional steps in regard to the difference cache in opencart?
For example, there is the Storage folder that was installed with Opencart. I see that it has a Cache folder inside?
Should I delete the contents of that folder?
Or, should I delete all contents of the Storage folder after I finish moving to new domain?
Or is it enough to just use the following to clear cache:
- admin - > dashboard - > blue icon on the right
- admin - > extensions - > modifications - > refresh button

You're on the right path.
1) Move all files to the right directory
2) Update admin/config.php and config.php (your domain in HTTP and HTTPS sections and the DIR section)
3) Check your .htaccess in case you're using the old domain for a redirect
4) Clear both cache settings that you mentioned
5) Clear your browser cache
6) Get your SSL Certificate issued for the new domain
7) Test your site for proper function

Did you move the files from the original location on the server? If so, the paths in the DIR section will need to be updated. If you're using cPanel for example and the storage folder was already in /home/cpanel-username/storage then you won't need to update the DIR path.
If it's staying in the same location and you clear the cache, you'll be all set.

The new storage folder located outside of the public_html folder needs to have the CHMOD 0755 with recursive mode re-assigned once the directory created on your FTP server.
