[How to change root location of the store?]

I setup a opencart website localy with domain and all,

The opencart is located in /var/www/html/opencart but now when i visit the domain i get a folder first before i can load the website,

Also /opencart/ folder is also loaded in the URL so alot stuff breaks,/ so my store url is now https://mystore.com/opencart

/var/www/html/opencart is also set as the directory root in apache but for some reason its not detecting the index.php file?

How would i make it so my domain forwards to /var/www/html/opencart correctly? would i use .htaccess? in my config.php i also have the exact location noted both in admin and main directory config.php

Im so stupid.

Fixed it by moving the entire shop 1 directory below
