The Opencart Documentation tells you to create a subdomain, which I have done. My main domain is picturesonwood.co.uk and I have created a sub-domain for one of my add on domains personalisedgifts.net which is now gift-shop.personalisedgifts.net. I've set up this as an additional store in the settings but it just goes to a 500 internal error. What have I done wrong?
I'm using Opencart version 1.5.6.4

I've solved my problem now. For anyone else with the same problem. Once you've created an add on domain or a sub domain you must point the 'document root' to where Opencart is installed. In my case it was /public.html/
Hooray!!  :bang:

Thank you for sharing these general information. It is really nice and easy to understand.

Can you please also guide me how to create a different store for each affiliate and assign product based on those stores ?

I tried to set up like the explanation on 3.0.3.2
However the main shop appears, not the extra shops.
(This site is not available)

How to find out where it went wrong?

Did you set up a extra domain in cpanel ?
normally that domain vill go to public_html/domain.com, make sure it is set up to go to public_html

when adding new domain in oc admin make sure a / is added after domainname.

IF you dont succeed you know how to reach me :-)
