Hey guys,
I have a pop3 incoming as mail.domain.com
and outgoing using smtp2go.com
So under Settings>Mail
What should I put in SMTP Host, username, password and port?
Thanks a lot!

Hey guys, I have some update.
I fill up the SMTP settings in the admin page as follow:
smtp host: ssl://smtp.gmail.com
user: user@gmail.com
pw: password
port: 465

When I try to send an email in Contact Us,
I put in my name, email (a@something.com), and the enquiry,
I actually do receive the enquiry in my inbox, but the sender is user@gmail.com instead of a@something.com
any clues?

I have the same problem with OC 1.5.0.4 and 1.5.1

When ever I receive any emails from OpenCart to my gmail account the reply to address is the store email address not the customer's address.

Is it not possible to use gmail smtp with OpenCart?

I am using
Mail Protocol: SMTP
Mail Parameters: empty
SMTP Host: ssl://smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Username: gmail email address
SMTP Password: gmail password
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP Timeout: 5

Need any help with this.

Okay I figured out the reason for the trouble I am having with a gmail smtp server settings in mail setting for Opencart.

Google rewrites the address.
Gmail automatically rewrites the "from" line of any e-mail you send via their SMTP gateway to your Gmail address, and it overrides any Reply-To settings you may have in your e-mail software in favor of the one in Gmail's web interface.
Here is a link on the matter:

So what I ended up doing is to use another one of hosting provider's SMTP settings.

I hope this helps others in the future.
