The problem is this... Facebook cannot retrieve any info about the opencart shop I run, besides the url I share, absolutely nothing,. The problem exists in all pages, not only in product pages.

Let's say I copy the following url (http://podhlato.gr/OLYMPIA_308/olympia_ ... y_2538.htm) from my site. When I paste a url on fb it tries to retrieve the title, the description and any images it finds in there, right?
In my case facebook cannot retrieve anything. The proccess seems to be interrupted for some reason.
Before you go and start saying I have to include the open graph meta tags (og) I will stop you and say I did! You can check the source code yourselves and see that the og tags are at their place. Also I have tried to share a page form my shop without the og meta tags and the problem remained!
I am using the facebook url linter/debugger tool and I am getting some weird results

I am getting a 200 response code, which means that all should be ok but when I click on the [Scraped URL: See exactly what our scraper sees for your URL] section I get nothing else but one line "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/loose.dtd">". That is not even the doctype I use. Facebook cannot see my site's source code. I don't dissalow facebook's user agent from accessing my site and I am using the default settings in .htaccess file.
I 've really hit a dead end here and need the help of the community to solve this one.
Do you have any ideas why facebook is not parsing the source code? Is it a server configuration thing? Is it something else?
I 'll be more than happy to provide you with any info you ask as long as I get to the bottom of this.
