I HAVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED BUT CANT FIND THE PROBLEM IM HAVING!
Hi guys,
i have a set of duplicate options for each of my products, but i can't figure out how to get them to subtrack
say someone buy product A with 1st option and that option is then used up aka out of stock
then product B will still show option 1 and the full stock, even though it is out of stock because someone bought product A and used all option 1 stock.
I thought because there all duplicate options they would subtrack from eachother........
any ideas? i may be missing something
thanks
Lloyd
well if you mean what i think you mean id rather not have to be subtracting stock every time i get an order...
say each option has 10 in stock then
say product a has an option blue and so does product b
someone buy product a in blue
the stock changes in product a but not in product b product a has 9 left product b has 10 left
and if it subtracted then it would be 9 & 9
see what i mean?

Nope, the stock is only subtracking for the main product, not options.
I don't know of a way (without custom code) to do this. The options functionality seems to be designed around options on products (such as red shirt, blue shirt) not combinations of products.
