ssl issue

Hi I appreciate this is Opencart but I am not getting very far with support from this company aceshop, I'm using it on a Joomla instal, problem is the config file is different from Opencart (see below) can someone walk me through what I need to do,

define("HTTPS_SERVER", $main_full_url.$_suffix);
define("HTTPS_IMAGE", $main_full_url.'components/com_aceshop/opencart/image/');

I have narrowed down the problem, it doesn't work in Chrome, the ssl works fine in IE but breaks the template in Chrome, I have bought this to the attention of Aceshop but they don't seem to want to know, so a wasted purchase there then, looks like I am going to have to use Opencart and try and skin like my Joomla site. Waste of money, waste of time and not good.
