Hi,

In the Opencart administrative area, when I save some content in input text forms, the system adds 1 white space before and after the text. Whenever saved, add 1 more white space and this is progressive.

Has anyone ever experienced this? Can you help me?

That is a different issue. Trim functions have been added on the master branch to validate some inputs from the OC admin. That is probably what the OP user is referring about. However, extension developers are also encouraged to do so whenever different language packs are being used as opposed to the English language.

yes, I read the commits but the OP is saying that when he adds a space in front and/or the back, the system adds an additional space every time he saves.
I do not see that and I do not recognize that screenshot so I assume it is an extension, not default OC.

This issue cannot be reproduced on all servers. Trimming the string does resolved that issue in most cases. It just depends on the language pack and charset settings are being used and the compatibility with the server forum users might be on into.

It would be nice if they'd release a patch version since it's been over a year. Not everyone knows how to grab the updates via Github

Well, you should be long enough around this place, to have a deeper inside of
what's has been going on over the years. It's the sound, what makes the music.

But some former Github and OC Contributors turned their back on OC, partly,
because of feeling ignored, and partly, because of feeling offended. And such
leaves traces. It's just human behaviour, here as well as anywhere else, where
one depends on others, to eventually succeed over an extended period of time.

But i'm also aware of, how difficult it can be, in an environment, where most
everybody involved is in competition with others. And from that point of view,
it's more a wonder, that it still works, as it does. I was long enough active in
Business, to know, what it takes, and/or how little it takes, to eventually fail.

Still, that's only my personal opinion, also fully aware of, that I'm one of the
very few around here, who would have absolutely nothing to loose.

Yep, I'm using PHP 7.4.5 , the Hoster just updated to that Version a few days ago.
Only OcShop's TURBO LIGHT VqMod Extension did no longer function, just to mention this. But
I did not bother to check on it, since I don't use it anyway ...
