Logo image now showing

I created a theme by copying the default theme; installing and changed the stylesheet. It was going well...

Since I was upload many images, and putting then in the image root folder - and it was getting cluttered. So I decided to manually create and move images into sub folders. I did this by making change to the /image/catalog directory. (Including the store logo.)

Although, I could change and see the logo in BO Settings > System > Store - only text appeared in the front-end.

After failed searches and debugging .. I decided to change the actual config_logo in the database. Then it showed!

So my conclusion is that changes in (admin) BO are not saved to the database properly.
The problem with this is that I successfully set the logo in the first place. So perhaps there is another BO setting to change, is this so?

Even now there is no issue, I would like this to not happen in the future, can you provide the logic, or is there a loophole in the code?

Negative, there is no loophole in the Code, one just has to find out first,
how OC works. But you neither mentioned, how you linked the
images in the config.php files, nor did you mention the OC Version used,
so, don't expect others, to really know, what you're talking about. ;)
