I'm trying to remove the "wish list" and "compare product" buttons on the product, and rename "add to cart" button to "buy now"

the idea is to remove as many clicks as possible, and just click the "buy now" button which goes straight into checkout, not "add to cart"

I found the buttons on the product/category.twig, and I removed the buttons for wishlist and compare products, but when I reload the page, they are still there???

Does .twig even do anything? I deleted the whole .twig file for product/catagory and nothings changed...

Just to add to this, I tried doing the modifications straight on the .twig file with sublime, and then used opencart's theme editor. Both don't show any changes in the store :/

Try clean cache in \system\storage\cache and refresh again

You need to clear the developer cache.
On the admin dashboard in the upper right corner you'll find a blue cog icon.
Click on it and clear the theme cache.

Anyone else got solutions? Cleared caches, tried doing the changes manually and on theme editor, yet NOTHING works... changes to the .twig file still are not being shown on the store

also tried seeing it on different browsers

If you have cleared the developer cache from the dashboard.
You should also delete your vqmod cache:
vqmod/vqcache
And your system cache.
Then go to Modifications in Admin and refresh.

If this doesn't work you are doing something very wrong or on the wrong place.
