Downloadable products for free (price 0)

Hello,

So, I have the following situation, I would like to offer some of my downloadable products for free. To make this I have uploaded in the downloads section my files as a zip and I have created a product that have that file in the Downloads section on the tab Links.
Product price = 0,
Requires Shipping = No
Weight = 0
I have also installed and enabled Free Checkout from Extensions->Payments

Now the problem.
If I go to front end and add the product into my cart, go to checkout and place the order it says that the order was sent, but I do not receive any email, in the downloads section from fontend is nothing, in backend orders nothing, neither in the database.

What am I doing wrong ?

What does the error log indicate once you completed the checkout process?

Set the order status the customer's order must reach before they are allowed to access their downloadable products and gift vouchers.
