The core links does not end with /privacy unless using the SEO links. It would not be suggested to use the one from the core but rather from an extension where you could download from the marketplace. Disable the SEO links from the core and see if the issue persists.

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased post counters are caused by redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.
