I cannot see the extension in the admin - I am clearly doing something basic wrong but cannot see what it is! Any ideas?

After the recent upgrade to 3.0 we started experiencing Customer registration Spam. Mostly Russian addresses.
I get about 50 every day. There doesn't seem to be anything else going on, just the registration. We tried Captcha and RE-Captcha and doesn't even slow them down. The IP's are all different. I searched the forums here and can't seem to find anything recent. I would be grateful if someone has a solution to this. I am afraid something sinister may happen and frankly its annoying deleting all of those registrations every few days.

You probably read on the internet about honeypots somewhere and thought "Cool, let's do that and run our own blacklist".
You do not need to start your own weather-service to determine if it rains.

Well, if one plans, to get wet, just visit the OC Forum, it's mostly rainy in some spots ...You do not need to start your own weather-service to determine if it rains.

Anyway, what matters is that our solution is working quite well with regards to preventing spam or fake registrations coming through to our live sites.
Of course, spambots might become more intelligent in the future, its always a race in keeping up with our defences against them. We used to have captchas on our sites in the past. However, both the standard OpenCart captcha as well as the original Google reCaptcha don't offer much of a protection against the current generation of spambots anymore, so we gave up on captchas.
