Looking for an opencart3 solution for my car part products.
Part '1234' can be used in lots of different vehicles, but regardless of which vehicle the part is used in, the order still needs to get to the warehouse for picking as Part '1234' .
eg
Part Category Make Model Year - etc (lots of attributes of vehicle to be searched on
1234 Sensor Ford Focus 2011
1234 Sensor Nissan Sunny 1996
1234 Sensor Skoda Fabia 2009
I have thought of creating a separate product entry for each part / vehicle but that is not very clean solution and would involve duplicate product Id's
Another option is is separate cross reference table to be used for searching upon and selecting the products.
What this the best solution for opencart?
Are folk aware of any better methods or extensions/modules that will do the job more efficiently?
Paul

Thanks for the info:
RE: TecDoc Module v3.2.4 autoparts catalog - The feedback is terrible - does the OC team do any "quality assurance" on modules?
Unfortunately the other two modules are not yet OC3 compatible

Unfortunately the other two modules are not yet OC3 compatible
But why should OC do any Quality Assurance ? They take no responsability
whatsoever, because if they would, OC would have to employ a bunch of Coders,
checking uncounted masses of Extensions, in each and every combination with
others, and their Software would no longer come for free.
And if one uses a stock Software, without anything else added to, most Extensions
will probably function. But many OC Users are Players as well, the amount of free
Extensions makes many of them them to Coders, but mostly fully unaware of what
they're doing, and as a consequence of all this, many run into a bunch of problems.
But it's just like in real Life, a big Car does not make automatically a Hero out of it's
Driver, and if everbody, trying to run an OpenCart based Shop, would succeed, there
would be an Online Shop around every Corner.
It's not done with getting OC and an expensive Extension, like one of the Mods linked
above, it's just, where it starts. And a Pro will be able to make it work, like in any other
Business too.
Good Luck!
