When I tried to install TLT Blog I got a 500 internal server error. I uninstalled the blog and tried to install another blog (Optimblog). But now I can't change anything anymore. Optimblog is half installed, but when I try to complete the installation in "Extensions" I get that Warning again as mentioned above. I don't see how I can change this. All Opencart (3.0.3.1) files are overwritten but it doesn't change. There are also zip files in the installer that I want to clean up but that's impossible also.
The extension installer has been set up not to accept for certain folders. I suspect you extension is trying to write to those forbidden folders.
If you search the marketplace you will find free extensions that will “override” this setting, but there is a logic to why this has been done. It may simply be that the blog you have has been written for many OC versions and there is a logic to that also.
Alternatively contact the developer of the blog and ask them to fix. If they will not help
As another suggestion Dreamvention make a really nice blog - try out the free version ..
