Hi there,
I've had a problem with the shop's speed for a long time.

The shop reacts very slowly in the frontend and backend.
To solve the problem, I deleted the expired sessions from the database. But it didn't help.

It is not about large images, CSS and JS files.
No number of products and number of categories are calculated.

Opencart version: 3.0.2.0
Modification files: VQMod and OCMod

Hi, a few things I would check
1) Check your OC Error Logs and browser console for errors.
2) Retrace steps of the latest mods installed before this issue happened. Try disabling them and refresh and see if things are working, especially if you have
modules such as "Frequently bought together."
3) Check your database for errors. Link on how to do that in phpMyAdmin: https://www.thoughtco.com/repairing-mys ... in-2693966
4) Check your Firewall Settings (Ports 3306 must be allowed between the Webserver and the DB server if they are separate)
5) Is your store live? If you are using a single server for DB and Web hosting, and your store has a lot of users it may cause issues due to high load.
6) When last have you restarted your Server(s) sometimes a reboot may solve some problems.
7) Check server Util for High Utilization and do some digging on Services that are causing issues
8 ) Is your Server Spec enough to handle your site
9) Con tact your hosting provider to see if you have a packet loss issue or you're not getting what you are paying for or your website is under attack by means of a denial of service.

Could be lots of things, including your database tables not being indexed?

opencart original have the database indexes, so no need to do it.
you can run "show index from oc_xxx" to see the index.
if too slow, you need to change a hosting or move to vps.
if just hundreds or thousands of products, there is no need to optimise and a hosting is enough.

its 100 and 10% vqmod external version of it. We have similler issues with 3.0 and now that we have gone vqmod internal version its already improving a bit but not sure how to get rid of external version of vqmod because as soon as you try to delete or change the folder name website goes down with vqmod.

He just wanted to reply or ... USE VQMOD Build in version VQMOD external version is causing issues. But not 100 sure. I have two websites both running same theme and are on VPS hosting. One is opening faster then other & the site we are having issues doesnt let backend go fast either. Not sure what is causing issues.. Try GT Metrics and see what they suggest.

They probably suggest to defer javascript.
I don't think GT Metrix does server-side analysis.
