thanks for the reply. any temp solution at the mean time? I check the thread. - viewtopic.php?f=201&t=222369 you posted but doesn't seem to work for me.
I haven't spent much time on 3.0.3.7 to look into it, but if you want to try the below feel free at your own risk.

In phpmyadmin go to your oc_setting table and under the key column look for config_timezone, you can try setting the value back to UTC

Once you do that try logging in. Keep it set to UTC until the bug is resolved.
YES, thank you

I am trying to setup a new store and this just happened to me. You would think this kind of error is basic and should not happen. I cannot log back into the admin now. I've tried deleting sessions, changing timezone back to UTC and still nothing. Definitely frustrating a new user.

Thank you for the reply! I did try changing the zone back to UTC but now the store keeps locking me out for an hour and wont give me the "reset your password" option. Any suggestions for that?

I am having this same problem. I also just changed timezone before this problem started.
I do not know what file to find the config_timezone mentioned, would someone mind providing more info on exactly where I go to set the timezone back?

Thanks.

config_timezone is a key in oc_setting table of your database. See theses posts. viewtopic.php?f=201&t=222369#p813699

I have same issue on fresh installed OC 3.0.3.7 (can't login to admin. always going to login page with no error. If provide wrong password, there is an error)
PHP Version 7.4.8
Already try below list but not solve

1. already UTC
2. admin password is letters only
3. .htaccess is enable with default content
4. check table called oc_session, there is no record, already has primary key

Help me please...

Have you tried setting session_engine to 'file' in system/config/default.php?

Also make sure you clear your browser cache and cookies.

Yes, it works!!
use phpmyadmin to login the database admin, and find the OC_Setting table, and find config_timezone , set the value to : UTC
then the problem solved!!
very strange, not sure why the time zone setting affect the logiing to admin panel.
remark here. 2021-8-31

Thank you very much, I got this problem in 3.0.3.8, after changing timezone to America/Bogota. I put the timezone back to UTC and function again. Please try to solve this bug

I also have issues with time zone. I currently installed a fresh copy of Opencart 3.0.3.8, I change the time zone from UTC to America/Los Angeles and after I couldn't log in back in the Admin Panel. I had to go to myPHP admin and change the timezone back to UTC. We need a fix ASAP.

Try the second suggestion in viewtopic.php?f=201&t=222369&start=20#p817086.

Hello,
I have the same problem with logging in the admin panel.
I tried all the options in this topic, and I still have the same situation.

I changed hosting. The store is working, I receive orders but I can't see the orders.
thanks

I finally solved it!!!

In case someone faces this problem, there's table called oc_session, which SHOULD have a primary key but it doesn't, since the session_id should not be duplicated.
I just delete all contents (truncate oc_session) and created a primary key index for session_id, and voilá!!!

Why it worked just fine for more than a year, I don't know, but now it's working like a charm.
Saved my day, not sure what happened but primary key was lost, you have to truncate before adding it

PHP: 7.4.3-4ubuntu2.18
OpenCart: 3.0.2

Not sure how mysql can lose a primary key and I hope it is the only key it lost :(

Code: Select all

truncate oc_session;
ALTER TABLE oc_session ADD PRIMARY KEY(session_id);

I just wanted to say thanks for this post. I wasted about two hours this morning trying to solve this problem before stumbling on your solution.
