[SOLVED] - Checkout stages on the URL

On Opencart 1.5.6.4 when a customer was on the checkout it would show the stages on the url, checkout/register > checkout/billing > checkout/delivery
etc etc.
ON 3.0.3.2 it just shows checkout/checkout so it's impossible to know whereabouts the customer is, i'm not sure if that's just how 3.0.3.2 is or if there is a setting to enable or if I installed some mod that's interfering with it.
If it is how it's supposed to be on the newer opencart, is there an extension which will show the stages? It would help with abandoned carts to show the stages.

OC 3.0.x series uses Ajax for most of the checkout process so you can't directly access a specific step via a URL param, at least without modification.
If you really needed this functionality you could probably write event logs for each XHR section of the checkout and track that way, but a lot of effort.
