Webhost moved the site to new server last week. Everything is fine except for this.

When trying to add or change any image e.g. in products by clicking the OC-logo, the popup with blue button (and a white pen) and the red button (with white trash can) shows up as usual. But when clicking any of the buttons, the popup just disappears and nothing else happens.

Edit: Suddenly and just now a new issue appeared. When clicking any of the buttons mentioned above, OC logs me out, shows the login page with error message, something like "Token-session invalid. Log in again" (it's in Swedish, so translation to English might not be correct). When doing as OC says and login in again, it repeats itself as soon as I click any of the buttons and I'm logged out and back at the login page again.

Any suggestion how to fix this?

As your post suggest this has only started happening since a server move. Have you spoken to your host about it?

What version of PHP are you using? Has this changed with the server move?
Do you see any errors in the OpenCart or PHP error logs?
Do you see any messages in your web browser's developer console?

Thanks a bunch for response!

1. No, I have not contacted the host yet. Hoping I might solve the problems before that.
2. Presently using PHP7.0. Have tested both previous and later versions, but when doing so, the login page won't even load.
3. Yes, there are several errors in the OC error log. Here's the most recent (pertinent details replaced with "xxxxx"):

[07-Sep-2020 18:10:53 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Exception: Error: <br />Error No: in /home/xxxxx/public_html/system/library/db/mysqli.php:10

4. Messages in web browser's developer console? No, using Firefox on Mac. While I have "Web developer" activated under "Tools", there's nothing there that might give a hint. At least not to me.

Best!

First thing to try is clearing your vQmod cache as this look to be causing some errors.

Cleared the vQmod cache. Only difference is that I'm no longer logged out when clicking the buttons. But the popup with the buttons still disappears and nothing else happens.

Have contacted webhost who just now replied (translated by me from Swedish to English):

"The new server is using a newer version of MySQL and PHP. These are more compatible with with CPanel (which I use) and applications as e.g. Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal and others require that setup. Older php-scripts can't handle newer PHP or MySQL versions. If you make it work with PHP 7.0 it means that the scripts are from 2015 or older and not updated the past 5 years"

I'm flabbergasted.

It means you are running out of memory.
you better use VPS instead of web host.

Sorry for being ignorant.
But what's the difference VPS and webhost? What does VPS even means? And how can I have a site running without having it located on a web host? (My apologies if I appear as completely daft. Been awake about 60 hours. Bear with me).

Now you don't get logged out check your error logs again (both the server PHP and OpenCart logs). Now also check in your web browser's development console
for any errors or warnings when chicking in the buttons. You could also check the network tab in the developer tool to see it anything is not loading or blocked (there should be an attempt to GET admin/index.php?route=common/filemanager).

Problem solved. Turns out that two plugins for php hadn't been activated on the new server.
