Hello all, I use OC 3.0.3.3 and would like to have a dropdown field in the payment area for customers to select their card type (VISA, MasterCard, etc). The input selection will need to populate to the order details in the backend and be included in the email order confirmation. How can I do this?

Any input or direction is greatly appreciated.

I use the Authorize.net payment gateway and the business that I set up the website for requires that the card type be part of the confirmation email. Unfortunately the payment gateway does not provide the ability to do that through the settings. So I was hoping I could get help to add a dropdown field for the customer to identify their card type.

That could be a possibility, but unfortunately, I don't have the skills for that. Unless someone can help out?

Well, make 'em an offer, and someone will do it for you.
Beeing around OC for such a long time, you should know, how the 'system' works,
it's a Custom Mod, you're asking for, after all. ;)

Should be able to do this with the default OC AIM gateway, you can dump the response to your log. Then locate the array key id for Card Type. Once you have that you can then handle it accordingly.

The OC authorize.net method is dated, so you will have to hunt down the older documentation which outlines all the Payment Gateway Response Fields or otherwise find the key from the dumped array.

Hire a programmer if you are not comfortable editing code, etc.

Thank you for the input. I did find the old documentation PDF. How would I dump the response to my log?
