I'm trying to setup Open Web Analytics to monitor what's going on on my Opencart installation. http://www.openwebanalytics.com

(I do not want to use Google Analytics, I want the data on my database server and I don't like multi-national cooperations who are into world domination, so I want to use Open Web Analytics.)

One part of the installation is to add some code to the website (either php or javascript). Step 7 of this tutorial https://websiteforstudents.com/setup-op ... b-and-php/ explains it.

This additional code should be added to the header.php file of whatever website I'm trying to monitor, however Opencart doesn't seem to have a header.php file. So where in my Opencart installation can I add this code?

Since you are using 3.? ? ? it would be a twig file so follow using this part of the guide "which is often defined in a ‘header.php‘, ‘header.tpl‘ or similar template file" .

You should provide your Opencart version and the template for better help.

You can use the Google Analytics field (Extensions > Extensions > Analytics > Google Analytics) to use the javascript code of the Open Web Analytics. This will place the script in the header file.

If you need to add PHP code, then use the file catalog/controller/common/header.php

Yeah I don't blame you.

Doesn't your web host provide traffic stats?

Were you able to figure it out?

Using the Google Analytics field works but there's no tracking showing on the Open Web Analytics Admin page.

@johnp I think it could be a bug with Open Web Analytics, because it looks like the tracking is occurring but it is not reflecting in Admin Dashboard Page.

You mean in the OWA dashboard? What's your Opencart site URL?

Firstly you have two instances of the OWA code on your OC site. Secondly, it takes a while for stats to start showing on the OWA dashboard. :)

Thanks @Johnp for your help, I forgot to disable the one for Google Analytics lol.
