Opencart Version 3.0.3.2

When an order is set to refund, the product is not added back into inventory. I have verified that under Admin > Settings > Store Name > Option > and then under Processing Order Status and Complete Order Status that they only have Processing and Complete checked. Is there another setting that needs to be set for this to work properly? Thank you.

Consider that it is NOT the way it should work - since to replenishing stock with a faulty item would be wrong.

Thank you for the links. You are correct, I do not want faulty products added back to stock. I also do not want orders to show as sales that have been returned, increasing sales tax that we have to pay. Right now I manually fix every entry so that everything shows correctly. We would like to hire an employee, and they would need to be able to process refunds. My current method is to complex and requires to many permissions. Attempting to find a solution. Do retail businesses using opencart track refunds using Sales > Returns, and then manually adjust inventory and manually subtract the amounts from sales totals and sales tax reports? Just trying to understand how this should be done.

I believe and I have not checked it myself but Jonathan usually is correct
viewtopic.php?t=210318

So what actually is being requested is a method to have return to stock refund and non return to stock refund.
Two refund settings
That is a good idea :)

Play around with Jonathan's suggestion - I will say thank you if you return and tell us your results ..
