I can add categories through admin
I can add products to categories selections
I can manipulate them for the themes menu
and they show as part of my site map
products show associated with them
but when you click a parent category or a sub the page goes to a http 500 error showing page isnt working
seo links are off.
have ssl
I uninstalled the module and reinstalled.
would anyone be able to understand what might be happening.
any help would be great
if this topic was asked and explained a link to that forum source for Version 3.0.2.0 would be great
thanks in advanced

Error 500 means always there is a php-error.
Enable your error_reporting and you will see what cause this error.
"Uninstalled the module ..": which?
And finally: which theme/template are you using?
Does the shop work with the default theme?
Do you homework, come back with the results and we will see if someone can help you.

Wow ... that was even more unexpected having to tell you to use Google search ... oh well, I guess it had to be expected eventually.

Answering with cryptic messages, one liners etc. will help nobody who does not know you, the system, OpenCart and what you mean at least.
So better answer not - or post an answer these noobs will understand.

Good luck on that one. The forum rules are located in the same place on the forum and based on the new topics created on an everyday basis, regardless how long these users have been here, you're gonna wait a long time for that to happen. Who knows, this generation might not even exist by the time slight improvements will appeal.OSWorX wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 7:06 pmSometimes it looks like you are posting only to increase your counter.straightlight wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:42 pmWow ... that was even more unexpected having to tell you to use Google search ... oh well, I guess it had to be expected eventually.

I also have no idea what @straightlight is on about here, but it seems related to his irrational obsession with Events.
Anyway, I suspect your problem is caused by mod_security so I suggest you ask your web host to turn it off and then try again.

If it'd be irrational as you say, Events wouldn't be part of the core and even less as an Engine and, this, includes with the removal of OCMod on future OC versions according to the master branch. Looks more to me that moderators are not providing the right example for users in regards to what this platform originally provides.paulfeakins wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:01 pmI also have no idea what @straightlight is on about here, but it seems related to his irrational obsession with Events.

Well debating the merits of the Events System vs. vQmod and OCMOD is one thing ...straightlight wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:12 pmIf it'd be irrational as you say, Events wouldn't be part of the core and even less as an Engine and, this, includes with the removal of OCMod on future OC versions according to the master branch.
But this 500 error doesn't seem at all related to Events in my opinion.

Of course not, users rarely do ... but that doesn't make it logical to mention Events.straightlight wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:16 pmNor were the facts delivered by the OP user since the first post in accordance to the forum rules.

My first post did not mentioned: Events but: Event (monitoring). Event Management, in case you haven't Googled it, is related to Logs Management.paulfeakins wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:29 pmOf course not, users rarely do ... but that doesn't make it logical to mention Events.straightlight wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:16 pmNor were the facts delivered by the OP user since the first post in accordance to the forum rules.
